Jelly Soup
I know what you’re
thinking… Jelly Soup? Uh what? It’s just a Kerstyn-Angelica thing… you wouldn’t
understand.
Picky eating is a struggle in itself, but it is also harder
when you live with people and you’re broke college students. This experience
has really made me gain appreciation for how amazing the people in my life are
and how much of a support system that I really have.
When I sit and think of meals to make, I never really
understand how my eating affects anyone else. That is until I lived with the
same person for 3 years. Within that time, we got into these Pinterest phase
because, you know, we are Betty Crocker or something and we got tired of eating
the same few meals every week. Angelica tends to find a new recipes on
Pinterest that she is dying to make. From this, I have really come a long way
from freshman year. I went from eating plain pasta noodles with only butter to
now eating pasta sauces such as parmesan garlic and even Alfredo (when I am
feeling risky).
With that being said, there are recipes that just do not
work. This week, her recipe is lasagna rolls. Let me tell you, this woman has
been through enough lasagna roll recipes to last a life time… why? Because she
knows I am picky and won’t eat certain things in my food (for pasta, it’s
usually ricotta cheese or any cheese that just looks funny… EW).
Moral of the Story:
Get yourself a best friend that deals with your ridiculous
insecurities! Thank you for dealing with me Jelly Bean; you’re the best! Don’t worry you’ll get to cook all the crazy food you want
when we graduate in 38 days… RIP
P.S. the lasagna recipe is http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/creamy-lasagna-roll-ups-150599.aspx?cm_mmc=Social-_-Pinterest-_-Ahalogy-_-150599
… let us know how it is :P and by us, I mean Angelica.
